Introverted Friday Links

Introverts as Entrepreneurs, by Howard Greenstein

"The stereotype startup guy or gal is a high energy, always schmoozing, hard pitching and hand-shaking go-getter. But since 50 percent of the population are identified by psychological studies as introverts, that stereotype might need some examining."

Don't Call Us, We'll Call...Well, No, We Actually Probably Won't, at the Introverts Corner

"I love seeing friends face-to-face. (Not in gangs, but one or two at a time.) I love Facebok. I love e-mail. I love letters, although it has admittedly been a while since I've written one.
But I hate the phone. Hate it. Hate. It."

[Ironically, when I did my interview with the author of that blog, Sophia Dembling, we did it over the phone!]

  1. Au contraire, my fellow introvert. I emailed you questions, you emailed back answers. I offered the option of phone or email and you chose the introverts' way. :)

  2. Oh yeah, that's right! I was thinking of another interview. And I much preferred our email interview. :)

  3. I work with my extraverted mother as a web developer, and sometimes when we get caught in a snarl with a client's website, she'll suggest I give them a call and find out their opinions on what to do. I don't think she understands at all when I groan at the idea of calling a near-stranger. Sometimes I need to simply take a stand and say, "I think I'll email him instead."
