I read th...</title><content type='html'>I found your blog through Jollyblogger.  I read the article and had such a good laugh at how much of myself I saw in it.  Then I forwarded it to a dear extrovert friend who is a manager with a cell phone company.  He had been telling my husband techniques for getting people into the kiosk.  He calls it making &amp;quot;five minute friends&amp;quot;.  I was agast!  I said if some cell phone flunky walked up to me and started up a conversation I&amp;#39;d know all he really wanted to do was sell me something and I&amp;#39;d walk away. She polled all her Facebook friends, and almost unilaterally we all said that if someone did that to us in a shop, we&amp;#39;d leave without buying anything. I do not hate the phone though as I think that it fosters the kind of communication I prefer as an introvert that I do not get as much when I go out with my friends. Its the obligatory small talk that occurs for the sake of scheduling things or dealing with small details that I hate.
